“Hey yall, just wanted to give a quick update and a helpful resource for yall about my son that might help others
They opened up a new spot called “Southern Angels” in hermatige. And thank goodness for them! After having troubles with 4 different schools for my son, we have finally found a place that’s compassionate, caring, educated and patient with my son!
If your a mommy like me who has gave up on the school system please look into this place, go tour and meet the staff. They are phenomenal, they definitely deserve all the praise and recognition for doing amazing with my son!
He has been going there for 2 weeks now and loves going to school there! They are a super small school but they plan on growing into a bigger building later.
and I didn’t even want to share the info but I had to after I have seen my son thrive and be so happy!
A month ago I was so sad and down, I almost told myself “maybe my son isn’t capable of being in school or trying to learn at a school type setting”
I put him on multiple meds and he was going to school 4 hours for 3 days a week, then got kicked out after he was aggressive after the school was trying to seclude him. He has been homebound for 1 month then my prayers were answered with this school. I cried when I toured and the lady said to me “we won’t kick your son out” “we will work with him”
But today… my son is off all of his meds expect his bedtime bed and his leucovorin. And he goes to school m-f 7:30-3pm. And he rides the bus. He has been a happy and wonderful kid. The kid I know him as!
But anyways I just wanted yall to know about this little gem of a school and to check it out for yourself if your at rock bottom with the school system and due processes and mediations and IEP battles like I was.
Wilson county has placed him there and pays for the transportation and school. So your kids school who is telling you that ur kid can the there needs to look into this school asap!
